CARe for Indigenous Poisoned Patients (CARIPP)

Principal Investigator(s):

Maude St-Onge

This research program focuses on the prevention and management of poisoning in intoxicated Aboriginal patients. It consists of a scoping review, a retrospective study describing the characteristics and risks of poisoned Aboriginal patients, as well as a qualitative study to explore patients' perceptions of poisoning and the care provided to them (their or their loved ones) in critical situations. The goal is to set up an intervention program to prevent poisoning and improve the care of poisoned Aboriginal patients.
