Bram Rochwerg

I am an intensivist and researcher based at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. I completed my Honours Bachelor of Science at Western University in 2004, Medical School at University of Ottawa in 2009, Internal Medicine at McMaster in 2012 and Critical Care fellowship, also at McMaster in 2014. I graduated with a Master's of Science from McMaster's Health Research Methodology program in 2015.

My main focus of research includes ARDS, sepsis. I have expertise in meta-analysis, network meta-analysis and randomized controlled trials. My other area of focus is clinical practice guideline methodology and I currently support a number of international organizations in guideline development projects. I sit on the executive for the Canadian Critical Care Society, the Internal Medicine Section at the Society of Critical Care Medicine and The Canadian Critical Care Trials Group.

Recent work

I am the Principal Investigator for the CIHR funded Fluids in Septic Shock (FISSH) Randomized Controlled Trial and the Corticosteroid Early and Extended (CORT-E2) trial which is being performed as a domain within the PRACTICAL platform RCT.
