Angela Jerath
Angela is a clinician scientist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto. Angela received primary medical training at the Royal London and St. Bartholomew's College of Medicine and Dentistry (University of London, United Kingdom), with residency training spanning across New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Angela has a Masters in clinical epidemiology and health services research from Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto.
The evaluation of health care delivery models is essential to enhancing patient safety, improving health outcomes and creating innovative models of care delivery. Dr. Jerath's research is focused on the evaluation of postoperative care and critical care models using different research methods and technologies, with a particular interest in critical care sedation using inhaled anesthetic agents. Her research has received funding support from the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC), Government of Ontario, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR).
