Her programs have permitted the groundwork required to prepare for her current research program studying the effect of red cell storage time on the outcome of critically ill children. After her pediatric residency and pediatric intensive care clinical fellowship at Sainte-Justine Hospital, Université de Montréal, Doctor Tucci did her post-doctoral training in basic research at The Pulmonary Center, Boston University School of Medicine for 3 years and then spent an additional year at the Lawson Research Institute in London, Ontario. She is currently Associate Professor at Sainte-Justine Hospital, Université de Montréal. This investigator directed the FRSQ program entitled «Risques et bénéfices des transfusions chez les enfants avec inflammation systémique traités en soins intensifs pédiatriques» from 2003 to 2006. She co-directed a second FRSQ research program entitled «Risques et bénéfices cliniques des transfusions de produits sanguins en pédiatrie» from 2008 to 2011; the latter was renewed for 3 additional years until 2014. These programs have permitted the groundwork required to prepare for her current research program studying the effect of red cell storage time on the outcome of critically ill children.
