Nicole Zytaruk

Research Coordinators Group (CCCRCG)

Nicole Zytaruk is a Senior Research Associate and Project Manager based at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton with McMaster University.  For the past 26 years she has been overseeing research projects in Critical Care Research within the CLARITY - Clinical Advancements through Research and Information Technology group.  Her research interests include prevention of ICU-acquired complications such as stress ulcer gastric bleeding, deep venous thrombosis and pneumonia along with improving and personalizing end-of-life care.  Currently she is serving on the CCCTG Board of Governors as the Scientific Meeting Director.  Also, having served previously as the Chair for the Canadian Critical Care Research Coordinators Group, she has assisted in the creation and dissemination of many tools, study aids and standardized operating plans for other Research Coordinators in Critical Care.  Most recently, Nicole has managed 4 large international randomized control trials overseen by Health Canada with Clinical Trial Applications.  Her publications total 51 peer-review articles and 96 abstracts.
