Guillaume Emeriaud
Dr Guillaume Emeriaud MD PhD is a pediatric intensivist at Sainte Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada, and senior clinical scientist of the FRQS. He completed his medical training in France (in Grenoble) and at the Université de Montréal, and his PhD in Modeling of Living Systems at the Université J Fourier, in France. He moved to Canada in 2009, where he is a Clinical Full Professor at the Department of pediatrics of Université de Montréal. He is also the Director of the Axis “Infectious Disease and Acute Care” of the Sainte Justine Research Center. His main research program aims to improve patient-ventilator interactions during ventilation support, with a specific interest on respiratory muscle monitoring and neurally adjusted ventilatory assist in children. He is one of the co-chairs of the international consensus conference PALICC-2, which recently updated the recommendations for the diagnosis and management of children with acute respiratory distress syndrome.
