François Lauzier

I am an intensivist and a clinician-scientist at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval and an associate professor at l'Université Laval, Québec City. I completed my medical degree, my residency in internal medicine and a master's degree in clinical research at l'Université de Sherbrooke, and my training in critical care and clinical research at McMaster University in 2007.

I have significant experience in leading multicenter studies in critical care, including randomized trials, cohort studies and audits. I have contributed to refining serious adverse events reporting in critical care academic trials.

Recent work

I am one of the principal investigators of the HEMOTION trial, an international trial on transfusion threshold traumatic brain injury. I am also a Co-Investigator and member of the steering committees on several CIHR-funded multicentre studies.

In my own words

Doing research is the best way to overcome my own ignorance.
