Timing of Initiation of Renal-Replacement Therapy of Acute Kidney Injury (STARRT-AKI)

Principal Investigator(s):

Sean Bagshaw, Ron Wald

Status: Enrolment Complete

The STARRT-AKI trial is an international, multi-center, open-label, randomized controlled trial that compared an accelerated strategy to the initiation of RRT versus a conservative strategy to the initiation of RRT, as guided by standard indications and clinical judgement in critically ill patients with AKI, on 90-day all-cause mortality (primary), RRT dependence (secondary) and a spectrum of additional outcomes.
