Status: Enrolling

Mega-ROX is an international multi-centre, randomized, registry-embedded, single blinded, clinical trial comparing conservative oxygen therapy to liberal oxygen therapy in 40,000 adult patients receiving mechanical ventilations in the intensive care unit. The overarching Mega-ROX trial will integrate three nested trials focused on important subgroups, determined at the time of randomization: 1) patients suspected of having hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE); 2) patients who have acute brain injury or pathology (other than HIE); and 3) patients who have sepsis.
