Spanning Boundaries Between Research and Care

CIHR has announced $2.4M in funding for the Life-Threatening Illness National Group (LifTING) Research Training Platform: Spanning Boundaries Between Research and Care. Led by Dominique Piquette (Sunnybrook Research Institute), Patricia Fontela (McGill University), and Denise Jaworsky (University of Northern British Columbia), the platform is one of 13 unique training programs funded through the Government of Canada’s Health Research Training Platform (HRTP).

LifTING is supported by the CCCTG, Sepsis Canada and a list of 20 partners that include national or international, interdisciplinary, and inter-professional research networks, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations.

First Annual Symposium: Cultivating Communities in Health Research

The First Annual LifTING Symposium will bring together LifTING and Sepsis Canada trainees and mentors from all program streams for an in-person meeting in Halifax in conjunction with the CCCTG Spring 2023 Scientific Meeting. The theme will be Cultivating Communities in Health Research.
