Before relocating to Ottawa in 2015, Angie was a member of the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario for 11 years. First as a Research Assistant and then as Laboratory Manager her research interests were focused on investigating the genetic basis of inherited bleeding disorders, as well as the quantitation and correlation of bleeding symptoms and scores. Angie has extensive experience in specialized coagulation laboratory diagnostic testing; in 2013 she set up a National Hemophilia Screening Laboratory with the Red Cross in Nicaragua funded by the Canadian Hemophilia Society, and in 2015 at the University of West Indies, Jamaica funded by Novo Nordisk.
Angie has over 5 years of Clinical Trial Related practical experience. She has worked as a Clinical Research Assistant in Pediatrics at Kingston General Hospital, a Clinical Research Coordinator at CHEO in Neurology where she was the Primary coordinator for multiple research and industry sponsored Phase I/II, III, IV & Investigator lead clinical trials, and currently as the Multi center Coordinator for the SAHaRA Trial at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute with Dr. Shane English.
